Basic room, but had everything needed. Staff was very responsive. Breakfast was awesome. Irish breakfast is big enough for two. Lively pub with lots of local patrons. Would be a great place for those looking for a pint of Guinness after a day of travel.
We recently visited The Merry Monk, a lovely Irish restaurant well known for its excellent carvery lunches, and it did not disappoint.
The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of comfortable indoor seating as well as a covered outdoor area, making it suitable in all weather. There is ample on-site parking, which makes the visit very convenient.
The carvery selection is impressive, and the portions are generous—definitely satisfying for a full meal. The food is fresh, tasty, and well-prepared, with that authentic homely Irish flavour.
The staff were courteous, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit, which really added to the overall experience. They also have a kids’ menu available, making it a great choice for families.
